Convenience. Yes, so many Americans are stuck on that aspect of food.

It's sad, because some of my best memories growing up are centered around my dad cooking different cuisines, from scratch.

And my boys tell me that some of their best memories are me making cakes and cooking with them, listening to our music and laughing.

To this day, they are adventurous and good cooks and it's a shame that people don't realize that spending more time with your kids can include cooking with them in the kitchen.

I get people don't have time, so let's pull out that frozen pizza! But once in a while, they need to step back and play with their kids in the kitchen. In my opinion, lol

I couldn't agree more. There are huge benefits, including spending time with loved ones, to preparing meals. (This is exactly where I am working towards a much bigger project in progress...)
